Since then she has released two albums of original music. In 2011, she released a self-titled album produced by Errol Ranville and Marc Arnould. “I guarantee that you will feel my enthusiasm and passion in my music, because it is something I believe I’m born to do” –Fontaine. Her second album complete with 10 original songs “Diamond in the Rough” was released June 2012 and produced by Tom Dutiaume and Errol Ranville.
“The lyrical content of her new songs such as “Ignorance” shows Fontaine’s maturity and passion for important cultural concerns that are important for us as a nation” –Errol Ranville. While other songs are about young love and finding strength they also touch on issues like racism, discrimination, and bullying.
She was recognized at the 2011 APCMA’s winning “Best Country CD” and “Best New Artist”, and also received “Most Outstanding Manitoban Award” presented by Deputy Premier Eric Robinson. She was also nominated for “Best Female Artist” at the CAMA’s 2011. This year she has two country songs nominated for the 2012 Indian Summer Music Awards.
She filmed her music video for title track “Say it to me” in New York in 2011 where she was a musical guest at the World Indigenous Business Forum. As well as performing in communities across the nation, highlights of her summer 2012 include performing at Planet Indigenous at the Harbor Front in Toronto, as well as a special performance at the Woodland Cultural Centre at Six Nations, ON.
